Quote Board DIY

I have had this one place in my living room that really needed something, but everything I purchased didn't look great.  So, I decided to make something. This is one of my most favorite quotes, it helps me remember not to take the everyday grind of life too seriously.  I need to look at it everyday! And what better place than in my living room?!

 I purchased 2 12x24 unfinished wood boards at Hobby Lobby.  I painted them white, then distressed them with dark gray acrylic paint.... 



I didn't want to jsut put vinyl on there, I wanted to actually paint the saying on, so I cut out the vinyl for a stencil...



And painted it.  I wanted to do something other than just all black and since turquoise is my accent color of choice right now, I used it also!


I let it dry for about 30 minutes and pulled the vinyl off.  I LOVE the finished product!! 





I think it's perfect for the spot between my curtains!
